Obit says he came to US when he was 12 (1845?), settling first at Blossburg, PA, and then to Dodgeville in 1852 (age 19?).

In 1860 census they live with Mary Ann 5 and Catherine 3.

1879 Dodgeville Chronicle says he just returned from a 3 month trip to Colo. and talks of moving there is spring if he can sell the farm (he didn't).

In 1880 census parents live with 6 youngest kids.
